Reaper Season 2 is AWEsome!

My favourite bunch of misfits are back. Reaper Season 2 is terrific! Reminds me that our own TV stations simply cannot be compared with the rest. 4 episodes so far and they are all good and funny. Sock is as lazy as ever and Ben still has the strangest love encounters.

The funny bits so far:

1) Sam tripping over the boxing ring while trying to escape the boxer soul. One of his foot got stuck in the ring lines and he knocked himself in the process. The soul even turned around and asked Sock; "Did he just knocked himself out?". That was a LOL moment for me.

2) Sock totally lusting after his Jap half sister. It's so wrong, but I find myself rooting for Sock to succeed. He's totally funny.

3) Ben totally believing in the intimacy portion in a relationship. Even going as far as to suggesting doing it with Nina's original form. That was so funny that I was clutching my sides. The conversation that he had with Gladys on whether if demons and humans can get it on? That is a classic.

4) Sock doing his best to milk the work bench's pay by arranging for another 'imaginary' colleague. Andi had no choice but to devise a little accident to 'kill' off this imaginary employee... Sock was bawling his eyes out together with counsellors provided for grief support. In the next scene, we see Sock going around asking for alms, especially from Andi. That was another LOL moment.

5) The devil playing the role of a Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) counselor. His means of drawing people into vices. The one guy whom he failed to entice back into drinking, he offered a reward to congratulate him for completing the programme. The reward? A bottle of Whiskey. LOL.

Give me the next episode quickly, I almost can't bear with it already!~

Goodbye Syberia II !~

You know the adventure game post that I did in December 08? That's it! I am finally done with Syberia II finally. It's been a good journey with Hans Voralberg and Kate Walker. The most memorable thing in the entire game would be the Wolly Mammoths. After running after it for so long in the game and staring at their bones and furs for hours at ends. They are kinda interesting and simply fascinating even in a game and (on animated scenes). I highly recommend this game actually. The last few puzzles are not easy.... I had to tear out my hair and even revert to walkthrough a few times. (I know... But 3 months on a game is unacceptable! I need to show some attention to the rest of the games too...)

"So its goodbye Kate Walker!"

That done and over with, I still have two papers coming right up next week and I have only done one chapter. Totally sucidical! I am amazed at my laziness sometimes also. Haha! Off to hit the books now. Till Kate Walker next adventure then... (Dear Mr Benoit Sokal, are you listening???)

Negative post. This is a negative post.

Did my quantitative measurment paper today. ( Ok. It's stats.) I spent 15 freaking mins just selecting the questions. Till now, I am shell-shocked by it and I am wondering if all the Chi, F, T, Z test performed are correct.

I need some 'A's in my life really...

Mugging and TV dun go well together. After struggling with academic related issues for all my life so far, I thought that I would have realised that long ago.

Reading the news online, I am particularly drawn to the military doctor case undeveloping on the media and internet so far.

Placing myself into the shoes of the doctor, contrary to what others feel, I can emphatise to a certain degree how he feels. (Not that I agree with his actions of ending his life!) I did my NS like any other singaporean out there. I spent the first year training, but spent the second year in the unit languishing aimlessly. If you think that I am the odd one out, I actually think that I did alot more then the rest of the cohort who entered the unit together with me. I can easily raise a few names of people who did nothing in the unit. Frankly, I am not sure why I am even there in the first place as the unit clearly doesn't need me at all.

On my first day reporting to the unit, I had dreams and aspiration but I had to learn how the system work the hard way. Simply put, the whole experience is marred by the plain ineffectiveness of the system whereby the more you did, the more they will force onto you. Not enough people to do duty, hmm.... perhaps charges / excuse can be trumped up? To hell with directives about consecutive duty not being allowed blah blah blah. Try to top that off with superiors who are more interested in playing the power and politics game and will give you their shit whenever possible. Less one...  (and that would be Mr Hock of course.)

It got so bad that I made up my mind that I want to lie low. so low that I escape the radar completely. In the last few months of my liability, I was practically just counting flys and waiting for time to pass. I made up my mind that the organisation is a totally messed up and farked up place to be at and that my time will come when I leave the place.

I did and went out to the real world and started my working life. The first company that I went to was a private company. To my horror, the place is not that much different from the organisation that I left. After 8 months there, I left. Ultimately, the lack of opportunity, information and recognition caused me to leave. Till today, I heard that the state there is still deplorable.

The company that I am with now is terrific, the work load is crazy but oddly satisfying, but my superior and bosses are fun-loving people and I often did a lot of crazy things in office with them. I sometimes wonder why I did not left earlier. On hindsight, if I am forced to remain in the old company with no recourse, I would probably do the same as the military doctor.

I am sure that if I had done so, the newspapers would again attribute it to heartbreaks, gaming and any other reasons, or then again maybe not, as I am not anyone famous and I have nothing worth mentioning so that they might as well mention the truth.

Well. I am not harbouring such wishes much these days. But if I were to do so. I guess I will leave a note here and pass the link around so that at least close friends will know.
