The last few posts were stories. A creative outlet. But to prevent this blog from getting too detached from my its original purpose, a little personal post is in order. I lead a rather staple life so it can be quite boring. Each and every point below is totally unrelated to each other and it can be enigmatic at times. Don't ask why. There is a reason why its written like that. (I don't know of anybody who doubts my ability to document concisely just yet.)
1) Wearing hands-free when Wii-ing is a must. Driving at speed in excess of hundred and over in Need For Speed: Prostreet with dad suddenly calling to ask if I want dinner is no joke. This totally adds meaning to the phrase "Speeding Kills".
2) A lot of things in life you have no control over. Really. Notice that I used the word 'control' and not 'choice'. That, in itself doesn't imply that I believe that an individual always have 'choices'. It's all together a different thing. Something that I am not interested to discuss in depth in this post yet.
3) I do not always have the luxury of typing my thought on a PC wherever I go. (It so happens that whenever I am free to think, I am out of the office.) I figured that my thoughts can be fleeting at times and coupled with my poor memory, I ought to pen them down. I had the chance to acquire a special ballpoint pen recently and I use it for this exact purpose. I guess it's also a form of respect to what actually goes through my brain. Many years ago when I was still in school, 2 different teachers essentially told me the same thing. "If you can't respect your writing/craft, you will never go far in it." I didn't get it then. I am slowly beginning to understand that now.
4) Staying up till 0200 hrs in MSN hoping that she will appear is pure suicide when the next day is a working day. When she appear, all the replies that I garner is one word or one syllable. Is this justified? or is it just plain stupidity?
5) 'Space' and 'Time' plays a part in greater things. (Most people will associate the two items wrongly as 'Fate', I guess.) 'Effort' is secondary. So is it really? or perhaps its simply "Man Propose, Heaven Dispose" ?
6) If you know that there is a shop out there letting go of viceroys at S$9.80 each. Get them. As many as possible if you know that you need them. So that when regrets sets in, its not so painful.
7) Brown Cappucino and Sunshine Yellow goes well together. My room is in the above-mentioned shade after a hard day's work. No sense of accomplishment there though.
8) Happiness is transient. Confusion, Hurt and Anger is way more lasting.
9) The modern telephone is a great communication tool. But when the dialogue that takes place is idiotic or overly negative, the modern telephone is a waste of time. Oh yes, also when it rings at the wrong timing, like in the middle of the night.
10) And its back to the days when I am the youngest member of the family again. It is not the 'good old days' anymore and at 24, frankly, it feels different.
11) A mountainous stack of disc comprising of VCDs, PS 1 and PS 2 games awaits my administration. I am still holding my final verdict though. As the time of this posting, I remain undecided with them.
12) Mum commented that I look sick/bored/listless these days. I don't know what to say(, or rather the real reason?). So I mentioned that it might be the weather. The next thing I know, I got a comforter. In floral prints no less.
13) How do you hate lavender scented air spray? When it's all over the place and never seems to disperse due to repeated spraying at regular interval. The real irony is that I was the one who choose and paid for the spray. If only I had known!
14) Is it truly possible to get a bedsheet that is of one colour and yet not look too plain like it was taken from a hospital or old folks home? Really. Try it in all gentle tones. Any hue. You will get the same effect.
15) Why is "New Moon" brand abalone pronounce as "Ren Yue Pai" abalone in chinese? Why is it not "Xing Yue Pai" abalone?
