Recent Happenings

The last one week was seriously unsatisfying. Got tekaned by big boss twice in a week. I guess in the corporate world, I can say goodbye to my prospects. Looks like the basis of certain decisions cannot be justified by me and my immediate superior. But rather, we need to talk to the Big Boss for those decisions.

It doesn't help things when your immediate superior and the big boss is the same rank.

Haha. I feel bad getting my immediate superior into trouble. Maybe, next time I will just talk to the big boss instead.

Dad got into a little workplace accident, ended up with a big gash on his hand and 10 plus stitches. whew. Luckily it wasn't anything serious. Had to rush down on Saturday to NUH after dodo duty.

On a happier note, while heading home last evening, I met copa who divulged that all the bitches, (me included) will be promoted soon. From one chocolate bar to two!~ Come April 1st and I will be LTA instead of 2nd LT. But it doesn't hold much appeal to me anymore. I guess the rest of the bitches feels the same way too...

I started playing world of warcraft. Its addictive. really. I am a level 11 warlock as I am typing this, My job class is a herbalist and an apothecary. For the last one week I have been thinking damn hard on how to level up and lay my hands on the better equipments.

Its all my bro's fault for getting me addicted. I think I am gonna buy the burning crusade expansion pack real soon.

Will be going back to smell the air in Area Delta real soon. Sian.


"Over and Out"

This January.... unlike all January before.

Missed a few posting since the start of the year. Well, all can be attributed to my busy January schedule.

For the last 3 weeks, I practically was doing something every other day:

1) Went for a route march with our friends from bedok.
2) Did recall manning. Had to stay in.
3) Did 3 x duty consecutively and 1 right after New Year Day.
4) Did ICCT crash course, went for grading and passed. Did I mentioned that I was the Supervising as well?
5) Compiled some IT record thingy.
6) Did 2 x Conducting for IPPT.

So disorientated at times because of so many stuff assaulting you left right center. Argh!~

My personal life got a serious battering as a result. Luckily I still made time for myself to attend the Natinoal Pioneering Competition Briefing at Bishan and watch Pan's Labyrinth with Nicholas, WeiHao and Ms Chua.

I must apologise for my decision to watch this movie. I wanted to watch it quite badly as there were quite alot of rave reviews for this movie... So I lobbied rather hard for it, as luck would have it, nobody wanted to wait for One last Dance as it starts at 2140. The story is understandable but difficult to fully comprehend totally. The movie is quite frightening at times. Ms Chua was squirming hard in her seat because of the pale man. I am attaching a picture specially for her:

I kinda like this monster actually. It is quite evident that a lot of thought went into the pale man. The idea for this monster is very fresh and cool. It sees from the palm of its hand and the monster has to affixed his hand to its face to see clearly... Those two holes on his face, i guess those are the airhole, the nostril. So cool!~ it also eats children exactly like what I imagined. I think its a coincidence, but it kinda fits the profile of the bogeyman I used to imagine as a kid living in the cabinet.

Another thing to rejoice for the last 3 weeks is that I received badges from Mark!~ Mark's a friend and fellow scout I met in HK and he sent me a couple of badges from HK, with HK Jamboree 06 badge in it!~ YES!~ CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I HAVE IT IN MY POSSESSION!~ ALONG WITH A SLEW OF HONGKONG DISTRICT BADGES.... Haha!~

The badge you see at the bottom left of the picture is the Jamboree badge I am referring to. It did occured to me that I could be the first one in singapore to possess this badge at the time of this post. I need the blue colour scheme for the same badge to complete the collection. Hahaha!~ I need to send some badge over too. I decide to send the 2000 Singapore Jamboree badge over. At first glance, they consist of 5 badges from the same set.

Viola!~ they can actually be placed together as a running series like stamps and coins. So cool right. I think Mark will love it.

Ms Chua pls take note, don't send the same badges ok. We need to send it over soon, otherwise Mark wil think that we are ripping him off!~
